On the Gripsholm North Cape Cruise 1972, medical staff were allowed to
enjoy the passengers Smörgåsbord buffet luncheon in the Main Lounge.
Commander Kjell Smitterberg reads a navigation instrument on
the bridge wing of the MS Gripsholm under the arctic midnight sun.
Somewhere north of the Arctic Circle, also under the midnight sun,
a nurse and an iceberg are both dressed impeccably white.
In 1963 a new piece of land surfaced out of the sea off the coast of Iceland.
